The FBC Meals Ministry is a ministry that provides meals for our church families when there is a death in the family, an illness that requires bed rest, or hospitalization. As Jesus recognized that the people who came to hear him speak needed to be fed, we at FBC recognize there are times when we need to feed our church family. Our hope is that providing the daily dinner meal brings much needed relief to our church family during a time of crisis, illness or grief. The Meals Ministry is provided through our many volunteers who are willing to give of their time to prepare a complete dinner meal and deliver it to the family in need. For those who want to help, but feel that they aren’t the greatest cook they can give a gift certificate to a local restaurant or order a take out meal from the many restaurants that offer that service. A delivery of the meal, gift certificate or take out dinner can often include a visit with the family, a time of prayer or just a card expressing their concern and love for the family. The Meals Ministry is always looking for more willing servants to help “Feed the Flock.” The Meals Ministry is headed up by Bev Volandt.
