Theodor Yonkeu

I serve the Lord Jesus Christ as one of the pastors in Grace Church Philly with my wife and two children. Before coming to the USA, I served as a senior pastor in more than 20 churches in Cameroon under the Full Gospel Mission of Cameroon. Here in Philadelphia, I have been serving for more than 7 years under the leadership of John Davis. As a pastor, I preach on Sundays from time to time, conduct bible studies in French on Wednesdays, and outreach once a month on Saturdays. Twice or thrice a year, a team of pastors, me included, we go the Cameroon for missionary work, to train local pastors and equip them for ministry. Recently, my wife and I decided to launch a ministry to the women and children, boys and girls, to empower them to use natural and local resources to improve their quality of lives; we added to that a Tabitha ministry that my wife has been leading for many years.

Bill and Patsy are missionaries at Cornerstone Community Church in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Cornerstone is a church they planted with two other missionary couples in drug-infested, poverty-stricken, inner-city neighborhood. Their diverse church strives to meet physical, social, and spiritual needs through evangelistic outreaches, recovery ministries, a food cupboard, after-school programs, Bible studies, a thrift shop, family nights, block parties, camps, children’s ministries, etc.. Cornerstone grew out of the Teen Club ministry Bill started in 1980. He is the lead pastor at Cornerstone. He does the typical jobs of pastor-preaching, administration, oversee staff, counseling, visitation, baptisms, etc. Bill and Patsy lead the Kids Club and help run the monthly Family Night outreach. Canes for the Blind in Cameroon

There are over 600,000 blind people in Cameroon. In partnership and support of our sister church, Grace Church Philly, we had the opportunity to assist them in raising money for canes for the blind of Cameroon. Please enjoy the footage from the White Cane Ceremony and see where your generous giving for the less fortunate went.

Ceremony Message Traslation

It the pleasure and joy of Grace Church along with many other churches and believers in the US to partner with Coco Bertin and CJARC to show the love of Christ to you.

We would not really love you if we only gave white canes and not the good news of the gospel.

The good news of the gospel is that you don't need eyes to possess the greatest treasure or to experience the deepest joy in life.

Listen to what the Apostle Peter says to the believers in Asia Minor.

Though you have not seen him, you love him, though now you do not see him, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.

Peter has just written to these believers about God's mercy...

About new life

About an enduring hope...

About an eternal inheritance...

All of this because Jesus died and rose again.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is God's declaration that he accepts the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins.

Peter had seen Jesus with his physical eyes but the people to whom he writes had never seen him.

Yet, they loved him and found inexpressible joy in him.

You don't need physical sight to experience this love and inexpressible joy.

On September 10,1970 I heard and believed the gospel and received the greatest treasure and deepest joy in Jesus Christ.

I have not seen Jesus with physical eyes but I know him, and I love him, and I rejoice in him.

I love him because he first loved me.

I love him because he will not stop loving me even though he knows the worst about me.

I love him because

He suffered and died in my place.

I find deep joy in him because He has forgiven all my sins

... He walks with me through all the difficulties of life

... He gives me hope and peace in the midst of the storms in life.

... He is preparing a place for me in a perfect world that will never end.

This great treasure and deep joy is not found in physical healing or prosperity, it is only found in Jesus Christ.

You don't need eyes to know and experience this great love.

You don't need eyes to experience this inexpressible joy.

But, You do need faith.

Faith to believe God's promise that in Jesus Christ you can possess the greatest treasure and the deepest joy.

And the good news is that this great treasure and deep joy in Jesus can be yours today. Right now.

Would you bow your hearts before God with me and pray this prayer with me.

Father, I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place. I repent of my sins. I submit to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I want him to be my greatest treasure and deepest delight. Thank you for loving me and giving me new life in Jesus Christ.

Please leave here today knowing that in Jesus Christ you possess the greatest treasure and deepest joy.
