Jesus Dies on the Cross

Can God Die? Can the creator and giver of life succumb to death’s dreaded permanence? Jesus is Fully man, so yes, yet Fully God, so He deals death a death blow!

This painting strips away the crowds and the soldiers, leaving us with a raw, abstract encounter with death.

Notice the visceral, textured brushstrokes. Jesus is no longer a clearly defined figure, but a streak of light and shadow against a dark, chaotic background. His arms are stretched wide in a final, agonizing arc—a posture that is reaching out to encompass the entire world.

Yet another question haunts us: Was the Cross necessary? Resoundingly YES! The Cross exposes the wrath that our sins deserve! It also proves God's exceeding Love for us. His justice demands sin be paid for. His grace chose to pay for it Himself! Only a perfect, sinless savior can take our place.

Consider what Scripture warns: “How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?”

Please; If you haven’t yet, Bow, beg and believe on Jesus to be your Savior and your greatest Love, because of His extraordinary Love for you!
