Jesus is Condemned by the Sanhedrin

When the self-righteous resort to lies to condemn Jesus in the dark, what does it say?

We see Jesus on trial before the Sanhedrin—these very religious leaders who, knew the Scriptures as they did, should have recognized Him first. Jesus is bound in white, standing motionless amidst a sea of pointing fingers and twisted faces. How often do we "condemn" Jesus ourselves by pushing His truth aside when it becomes distasteful or offensive to us?

He is condemned not for a crime He committed, but for the identity He rightfully claimed.

Isaiah foretold, “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opens not his mouth”. He accepts a guilty verdict so that you might receive a "not guilty" one.

Reflect on the chains around His wrists. He isn't bound by them; He is held by His love for you. He was condemned by an earthly court so that you could stand justified before a heavenly one. Will you stand for Him who stood for you?
