Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

How often do we completely miss the epiphany?

Jesus was gentle, kind and strong in unusual ways and promoted and protected women. They were devoted to Him, and when all the men fled, they followed still. Powerless themselves, as often we are, they wept inconsolably at horrifying inhumanity. Yet, as treasonous and tortuous as this moment was, there is a greater tragedy!

He tells them, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children."  Jesus tells them they’re grieving for the wrong person!

He isn’t a victim, as it seems, and He will soon be the victor! He lays down His life. No one takes it from Him. We were hopeless until He paid for sin, defeated the devil, and burst through the gates of Hell! The real shame is for those who Miss how desperate we are without Him, and How powerful His love is for us!

Weeping may last for the night, but Joy comes in the morning! But only for those who believe in Jesus! Do you see His passion? Do you see your King?! Bow before him! It was in dying, He actually saved!
